Lighthouse Television Uganda went on air in Kampala, Uganda in July 1997. Presiding over the opening ceremony was the Hon. Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda, Uganda's Minister of Information.
Because of our affiliation with Trinity Broadcasting Network, we have one of the strongest broadcasting signals of any private television station in the nation of Uganda. We broadcast at 50,000 Watts using a solid state 5 kilowatt transmitter with reports that our signal reaches 162 miles from Kampala. It's estimated that they are approximately 22 Million people under the Lighthouse Television signal
Lighthouse Television is owned by Calvary Cathedral International in Fort Worth, Texas pastored by Pastor Bob Nichols. Calvary Cathedral International is responsible for the day-to-day management of Lighthouse Television. Rev. Gary Everett, a missionary from Calvary Cathedral International, is the station manager of Lighthouse Television.
Gary Everett received his Master of Divinity (1992) and Doctor of Ministry (2015) degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He served as pastor for five years and taught in Bible college for ten years.
We are a Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) affiliate. We broadcast mostly Trinity Broadcasting Network programming.
